After graduating from university, Peter packed up his worldly possessions, his most prized being his staffy and moved to a small town in NSW to work for the local vet on small and large animals which not only was interesting and challenging but it set him up with a comprehensive grounding of veterinary care. Sometime later he decided to explore the world and headed for good ol’ London town, returning to Australia 5 years later to open the very first Pet Accident and Emergency Service on the Gold Coast.
Peter has worked in over 40 practices both in Australia and in the United Kingdom, and brings a wealth of experience to Pet Doctors; his experience includes emergency and critical care, complementary medicine, acupuncture as well as general veterinary practice.
For the past 2 ½ years, Peter has worked effortlessly to bring his vision to life, to create a local veterinary practice that offers modern diagnostic facilities that support veterinary care advancements in a practice where all our clients receive outstanding personalised care
Away from Pet Doctors you’ll find Pete flying down the hills of the Nerang State Forest on his mountain bike with mates in toe. On the appropriate weekend he can be found close to the television watching and cheering on his beloved Holden Racing Team and in between all that he spends time playing with and taking care of his not so baby boy Jackson and baby boy Nicholas.
Eloise joined the Pet Doctors team in August 2010 as a full time Veterinarian.
Eloise graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 2000 before studying for her Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney. She graduated with first class honours in 2004.
Her first year out of Vet school was spent as an Intern working at a specialist Equine practice in Brisbane. In 2006, Eloise traded in hooves for paws when she started working in small animal practice.
While Eloise is passionate about all animals, she has developed a strong interest in feline medicine and surgery. She completed the University of Sydney Distance Education course in Feline Medicine in 2008.
Keen to broaden her knowledge, Eloise will be studying a Distance Education course through the University of Sydney in Behavioural Medicine in 2012.
She shares her home with five pets; four hand raised cats (Codi, Ronin, Campbell & Bronson) and her German Shepherd named Kahn (pictured).
Apart from her work and homelife that are filled with animals, Eloise loves travelling - with a particular soft spot for Europe and its many cultures. She also loves horseriding - having had horses of her own in the past, she is very keen to have the opportunity to have them again in the future.
